In Case I Forget…
Nominated for Song of the Year and Single of the Year, Mahalo for your consideration.
The perspective of this mele (song) is taken from the person receiving care. While writing the poetry I kept hearing the phrase “in case I forget to tell you...” and the song came to life. Expressed through a different lens. A perspective not so rare, but very real.
"Know that I have gratitude, There is no regret...Always know that I Love You, In Case I Forget!"

My Tūtū and Me
A new song by Kūpuna Power Featuring Gail Mack.
The special relationship between grandparents and grandchildren is like a beautiful friendship that defies both age and generations. Grandparents provide acceptance, patience, love, stability, wisdom, fun and support to their grandchildren, which has positive effects on a child's well-being. Enjoy this special offering written for the Tutu and Me Traveling Preschool.
Gail Mack's special style lends itself to this beautiful rendition of My Tūtū and Me and our tribute to kūpuna and their mo'opuna.
The Tūtū and Me Traveling Preschool aims to serve Native Hawaiian families by meeting the educational and emotional needs of families so that keiki will enter school ready to learn and succeed. Tūtū and Me also offers support to the keikis caregivers who are often times their grandparents or tūtū.

Aloha!
As Kūpuna, we see life in a way that has been tempered and formed by living, plain and simple. Let us, as Kūpuna, pledge to actively remember and honor the individuality and humanity of all who have died, brothers and sisters, young and old during the COVID-19 pandemic. How we respond to these challenging times reveal our value as the senior end of the life continuum as why we proudly say…We Are Kūpuna!
